1. Were the questions on the Moral Sense Test difficult to answer (psychologically, emotionally, conceptually, technically, etc.)? Why or why not? Do you think your responses to the Moral Sense Test questions were consistent? Does this matter?
The questions on the Moral Sense Test were not difficult to answer. Scenarios were probe as psychologically because all the questions are human reaction and related to moral sense that people have in their mind. My responses to the Moral Sense Test questions were a little different from them because base on what I understood and made judgment to those questions were right or wrong. I believe that everyone have different judgment about moral sense base on their religion and society.
2. Should people always follow the law? Why or why not? When might one be justified in NOT following the law? Give examples.
Many people have reason that they should follow the law because our system of the laws provides sufficient protection of our right. If some people try to break the law, they will payback the consequence what they have done. For example, driving under influence is against the law.
3. In your own words, explain what "social convention" means. Give examples.
Social convention means a formal gathering with different society groups to share a common agreement or participating interest idea. In other word, social convention means people attending formal meeting to discuses what is happening to their society. For example, many organizations group are gathering to present their common interest to the public.
4. Should people always follow the conventions of their society? Why or why not? Give examples.
I would say that people in the world have freedom to follow the convention of their society because most people were born and raise in different ethnic groups. Some countries have many society aspects, so sometime they do not have to follow of their society. The United States is a good example of the convention of society because the United States has many ethnics group.
5. Should people always follow their own principles? Why or why not? Give examples.
Sometime people need to follow the principles because the rules will make them get rid of any circumstances around them. For example, at school or work has to follow their principles or policies. Addition, most of family has certain rules for their family member to follow also.
6. Explain in your own words the difference between socially acceptable, legally acceptable, and morally acceptable.
Socially acceptable deals with social convention and different set rules agree upon by a society.
Legally acceptable is dealing with any circumstances that are accepting under the confines of the law.
Morally acceptable related to our own principle that a person has to decide what is right or wrong.
7. Out of 25 points, how many points do you feel your work on this assignment deserves? Justify your answer.
I should deserve 25 points on this assignment because I took my time and effort to answer all the questions.
